Peggy Lee Cruts passed away in her home after battling cancer for some time. Peggy Cruts was an honest woman. Some would say maybe a little too honest! But they would be wrong.
Peggy gave her life to teaching others whatever she could. For 20 years it was teaching children, 20 years of teaching parents, many still children themselves. Peggy taught parents how to parent, friends how to cope, manage stress, be a better friend and to be a better human. Peggy gave her honest opinion and teachings whether you wanted it or not. Most of the time, if you listened, you were better off. You see, Peggy was an honest woman, but her opinions and teachings came from a life well lived. Her teachings came from experience, and those around her were able to connect with her because she saw them. She saw so many of us within herself, offering advise and help in each way she could. Teaching us how to be better ourselves.
My mother was an honest woman, who opened herself up to others to show them how they could be better, she taught us how to take pain and turn it into strength. She taught us how to count on ourselves when we couldn’t count on anyone else. She taught us to see the light in the grimmest days.
Peggy was a teacher to us all, and we are forever grateful to the lighthouse she was. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to https://norwescap.org/education/head-start/. When you go to the site, click on "Support Us" in the upper right. Then select "Dedicate This Donation", when prompted place the Peggy's name for the honor/tribute gift.
