Anna Jean Schwerdtfeger Steele was born on January 30th, 1980 in Austin, Texas to John and Dorothy (Krueger) Schwerdtfeger.
Anna grew up on a farm in Jarrell, Texas, helping her family raise cattle, chickens, goats, and even a horse she named She-Ra, after her favorite cartoon at the time.
She attended school at Zion Lutheran in Walburg, TX through the eighth grade where she loved to play volleyball and was on the cheerleading team. Anna attended Jarrell High School and graduated in 1998. She loved to sing and was a member of the choir at Zion Lutheran for several years. After high school graduation, she studied for a short time at Temple College and was in the school choir.
Anna developed an interest in cosmetology and developed her skill in hair styling, enjoying a career working in various salons as a stylist. She enjoyed what she did for a living and mentored others, helping them pursue a similar career.
Anna adored animals and always had a variety of pets that she took care of. She enjoyed the country life and was so proud of her small garden and flowers she grew. Anna became very close with neighbors Tom and Lynada Sybert, visiting them frequently, helping care for them.
Anna had a big heart and always put others first. She deeply cared for and empathized with others and never hesitated to lend a hand or offer support when anyone was in need. She will be missed by family, friends, and members of the Jarrell community.
